Are You on the Hampster Wheel ?

Posted by jayemerill@live.com on March 20, 2015 at 9:50 AM Comments comments (0)

How would you know?  Is your focus singular? Are you reactive instead of proactive? Did you forget to breathe? Would you rather walk away or do you want to fight it out? Are you tense? Are people starting to become objects because you're not really seeing them? Is your heart beating fast and your adrenaline pumping hard?  Do you feel frantic? I hope none of this is true,  but if it is...well.

Perhaps  you can re-think your situation and realize that bein...

An Attitude of Gratitude

Starting with yourself, there's an easy way not to be afraid and stop beating up on yourself...  Create a life for where you want to go, because it's your choice. You can choose to live with love instead of fear;fear of loss, feelings of inferiority and a sense of being beholden to someone else for what they have made possible for you, and so on. It carries with it the feelings of being a victim in life, and being dependent on others for one'...

The American Psychological Association's "Stress in America" survey has revealed  that not having enough willpower was the top reason people cited for being unable to make healthy lifestyle changes. Good Morning!

Posted by jayemerill@live.com on March 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM

I would like to have a  pleasant morning as I casually sip my cofee and ponder how the new day will go.  To help with this, it has become a recomended practice that I  look over an inspirational book of sorts, where  there is greater connectedness and an increased mindfulness in purpose.

It's also a good time to take mysef off the hamster wheel, to bring a greater level of spiritual awareness and clarity of purpose my way. I'm sure li...

Charge Up Your Life & Take Control

Posted by jayemerill@live.com on February 18, 2015 at 9:50 AM Comments comments (0)

We don't like to feel vulnerable, do we? It's so easy to push powerful emotions away, as if they never existed in the first place. After all, it is somewhat terrifying to begin to understand what makes us tick...especially when we want to look like we're in complete control!

It's almost as if we really don't deserve something positive in our lives. Rather, there's a tendency to sabotage ourselves and become unsu...

Don't Waste Your Time Worrying!

Just saying, I don't think I 'm the only person who worries abut things that we cannot change. I like to worry a lot, even though there's not a darn thing anyone, including myself, can do about it. It can become  paralyzing. All this emotional energy that's being used up creates a mixture of anxiety and turmoil.  Perhaps the problem stems from lack of self-esteem or negative feelings. It can interfere and even paralyze a person when one

Why is Aging Scary?

Posted by jayemerill@live.com on February 1, 2015 at 11:50 AM Comments comments (1)

There seems to be an epidemic of women who worry about their futures. At least half of them seem to be scared and unsure of what the aging process will bring to them. Part of the problem appears to stem from not having role models to demonstrate new actions and  behaviors. And then, media has not been very helpful, as one may think that one must stay young and beautiful in order to be loved.

Women's health,...

Would You Rather Be Right or Happy?

Isn't it a good feeling to be right all the time? To sanctimoniously know you have all the answers?Just think of all those dramatic stories that hold onto grudges, drama, and anger.  That way, we don't  have to take charge or responsibility because  our problems are always somebody else's fault.

Having a superior attitude can appear to make us feel better about ourselves; yet feeling better than someone else gi...
